Thanks to an initiative by PASCAL academic libraries in the state now have access to 100,000+ books from ebrary. This searchable database contains books from major publishers and university presses representing a wide range of disciplines.

The Academic Collection has a Medical section. Random titles of interest include: Nanomedicine for Drug Delivery and Therapeutics, Developing Evidence-Based Generalist Practice Skills, Urgent Care Emergencies : Avoiding the Pitfalls and Improving the Outcomes and Clinical Approach To Endocrine and Metabolic Diseases (2nd Edition)

Printing and downloading from most of these books is limited to a maximum of "up to 60 pages" per book per user session. A few publishers have set more restrictive limits. For more information, see the ebrary Support Center website. ebrary content can be downloaded using the free Adobe Digital Editions software to most devices including the Nook, iPad, iPhone, etc., but not the Kindle or Kobo Vox.
